Privacy Policy

Account information. When you sign up we collect your email address and any display name you choose.

Workout and plan data. We store the workout plans you create, scheduled sessions, and check-in records so we can track your accountability streak.

Location. When you check in at a gym, we request your device's precise location to verify you are within the gym's geofence. We store only a coarse record of the check-in (confirmed/not confirmed) — we do not continuously track or log your GPS coordinates.

Motion data. For at-home workouts, we sample the accelerometer to confirm physical activity during your session. This data is processed on-device and is not stored on our servers.

Progress photos. If you choose to take or upload progress pictures, those images are stored securely and are only visible to you. This feature is entirely optional.

Payment authorization and charging. Payment setup and accountability charging are handled entirely on this website (sweattax.com), not through the mobile app. When you authorize charging, payment is processed by Stripe. We store only a payment method token — we never see or store your full card number, CVV, or billing address. Your card is charged automatically when you miss scheduled sessions, according to the amount and threshold you set.

Friends and social data. If you add friends within the app, we store those connections so you can view each other's accountability activity. You control who you connect with.

Push notifications. We send you workout reminders and check-in alerts. You can disable these at any time in your device settings.

Usage data. We may collect basic analytics (e.g., app crashes, feature usage) to improve the app. This data is not linked to your identity.

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Stripe – to process payment authorizations and charges securely
• Supabase – our database and authentication provider
• Law enforcement or regulators, if required by law

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.

• Accountability charging: Entirely optional. You authorize it on this website and can revoke it at any time from your account page. Revoking stops all future charges immediately.
• Location: You can deny location permission. GPS check-in will be unavailable; at-home timer mode still works.
• Progress photos: Entirely optional. You can delete any photo at any time from within the app.
• Notifications: Disable in your device's Settings app at any time.
• Account deletion: Contact us and we will delete your account and data within 30 days.

SweatTax is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted storage (SecureStore on-device, encrypted Supabase database) and HTTPS for all data in transit. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers in raw form.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
