How does check-in work?
For gym workouts, open the app when you arrive and tap "Check In." SweatTax uses your GPS location to verify you're within the gym's geofence. Stay for at least 5 minutes to complete the check-in. For at-home workouts, start the in-app timer and keep it running for at least 25 minutes.
What is the check-in window?
Your check-in window opens at your scheduled workout start time. You have a 15-minute grace period after the start time to check in. After that, the session is recorded as missed.
How do I set up accountability charging?
Visit sweattax.com/authorize, sign in, choose your per-miss charge amount (CAD $1–$25), set your miss threshold, add a payment method, and agree to the authorization terms. Once set up, your card is automatically charged each time you miss a session after the threshold.
How do I update my charge amount or miss threshold?
Go to sweattax.com/account and click "Update settings." You can change your per-miss amount or threshold at any time. Changes take effect immediately.
How do I add or change my payment method?
Visit sweattax.com/authorize and complete the authorization form with your new card. Your old card is replaced.
How do I turn off accountability charging?
Go to sweattax.com/account, click "Update settings," then "Turn off accountability charging." Charging stops immediately. You can re-enable it at any time.
I was charged for a workout I actually did. What do I do?
Email support@sweattax.com with "Appeal" in the subject line within 24 hours of the missed session. Describe what happened (GPS failure, app crash, etc.) and we will review it manually. We err on your side when verification is genuinely ambiguous.
Why isn't my GPS check-in working?
Make sure location permission is set to "While Using the App" or "Always" in your device settings. If you're indoors, GPS accuracy can vary — try moving closer to a window or exterior wall. If the problem persists, email us and we can look into an appeal.
Can I pause my plan (vacation, injury, etc.)?
If you need to pause due to injury, travel, or other circumstances, email us and we'll manually adjust your plan. Pause functionality will be available directly in the app in a future update.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. Payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment provider. SweatTax never stores your full card number, CVV, or billing address on our servers. All payment setup happens on this website — never inside the app.
How do I delete my account?
Email support@sweattax.com with the subject "Delete My Account." We'll remove your account and all associated data within 30 days. Make sure to revoke your payment authorization first.
