How does check-in work?
For gym workouts (SweatTax Pro), open the app when you arrive and tap "Check In." SweatTax uses your GPS location to verify you're within the gym's geofence. Stay for at least 5 minutes to complete the check-in. For timer-based check-ins (all users), start the in-app timer and keep it running for at least 25 minutes.
What is the check-in window?
Your check-in window opens at your scheduled workout start time. You have a 15-minute grace period after the start time to check in. After that, the session is recorded as missed.
What is SweatTax Pro?
SweatTax Pro is a $4.99/month subscription that unlocks GPS geofence gym check-in verification. It includes a 7-day free trial. All other features — timer check-ins, streaks, XP, achievements, and the Beaver Roast social feed — are free.
How do I subscribe to SweatTax Pro?
Tap any GPS check-in option in the app, or go to Settings → SweatTax Pro → Upgrade. The 7-day free trial is available to new subscribers.
How do I cancel SweatTax Pro?
Go to iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → SweatTax and tap Cancel. Your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period.
What happens if I miss a workout?
Missing a workout has no financial consequence. Your streak resets and your friends in your accountability circle may see your missed session in the social feed. That's it — the app motivates through social accountability, not penalties.
Why isn't my GPS check-in working?
Make sure location permission is set to "While Using the App" in iOS Settings → SweatTax → Location. If you're indoors, GPS accuracy can vary — try moving closer to a window or exterior wall. GPS check-in requires a SweatTax Pro subscription.
Can I pause my plan for vacation or injury?
Email us at support@sweattax.com and we'll adjust your plan. In-app pause functionality is coming in a future update.
How do I restore my SweatTax Pro subscription on a new device?
Go to Settings → SweatTax Pro → Restore Purchases. Sign in with the same Apple ID used to purchase and your subscription will be restored.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Delete Account in the app, or email support@sweattax.com with the subject "Delete My Account." We'll remove your account and all associated data within 30 days.
